The MTC Taipan
is our is our new flagship scope. The lenses are of a similar
grade to the Viper but are specially selected so that only the very best
go into the Taipan. Not only are the lenses the best the scope features
a new turret design, extendable sunshade, a deep and resilient anodized
finish, plus dual colour push button illuminated reticule.

Lockable sniper turrets:
We have re-designed the windage and
elevation turrets to change to locking system. The Viper system is
idiot proof unless the idiot is very strong, but unfortunately we
have had many cases
of turrets being turned with vices and mole grips. Doing this
will ruin your scope and your day, so the lock on the Taipan is a "brake". The
thumbwheel on the bottom will lock the turret in normal use but will
ease if pushed with excessive force to prevent (permanent) damage

Stadia
Lines:
The outstandingly strong Viper locking
mechanism meant that the locking slid over the inner spline, which
unfortunately means that there is no way of marking full rotations
of the turret. This is not a problem for 99% of shooters but
for long range or FT shooters, or for anybody in situations where
your turrets could be tweaked, the new design allowing each
rotation to be counted is an advantage

Coin Operated Re-settable windage and elevation numerals:
Simply slacken the mechanism with a coin
on top of the turret and the dials rotate to indicate a zero set,

Side
adjustable I/R :
The upgraded illumination on the Taipan
offers both red and green illumination for optimum day and night
performance, operated by push button on the parallax turret. This
also features last use memory so when switching on the setting will
be remembered.

Superb MTC
reticules:
From the Viper...If Carlsberg made reticules they would
have made the SCB. They agreed not to if we promised not to make
lager, this one is unique to us and probably the most useful small
calibre reticule ever. It just got better, the Taipan offers
the choice of the legendary SCB OR the new AMD (Advanced Mil Dot).
The AMD offers pretty much the same information as the SCB but extra
long windage lines have been removed for those that prefer a simpler
site picture. Identifying amount of holdover is still simple
with gradations being distinguished by hollow dots or dashes.
The vertical ret on the AMD now offers 10 mils of hold over for the
long range shooters

Unique lens:
ETE microlux coated lens, unique to this
scope. Incredible low light performance with no distortion.
The Taipan offers the same lens quality as the Viper, however only
selected lenses are used.

Integral colour coordinated
metal flip up covers:
Front and rear. Angle adjustable for
convenience, protects from dirt and water in the field and gun bag

Integral Sunshade:
To sunshade or not to sunshade, that is
the question. Or it was, because the Taipan takes that problem
away by having an integral extendable shade. Always there when you
need it, retractable when you don't

anodizing:
The cosmetics of a scope are important
so we have upgraded the anodizing on the Taipan, giving a much
harder wearing and deeply lustrous finish.

Erector Spring:
Your turrets screw down against a spring that holds
the inverter lens in place, this moves as they move. Therefore this
spring is integral in maintaining zero. The premier quality scopes
use a coil erector spring for the same reason modern cars do,
strength, precision, resilience. The Taipan uses this same method.
